U.S congress has overturned Obama’s veto of 9/11 bill. The bill says that families of the 9/11 attack victims has the right to sue Saudi Arabia for compensation.

In the senate 97 members voted for the bill only one voted against it. In the house of representatives 348 members voted for the bill while 77 voted against it. Obama has vetoed a total of 12 bills in his administration and this is the only bill that got overturned by the congress.

White House said that, the override is embarrassing but the bill was passed with support from both Democrats and Republicans. Most probably after his tenure as President, Obama will use this as an excuse to say that he tried all he could do to stop the bill from passing.

So far none of the investigative reports of the 9/11 attack shows that Saudi Arabia was behind it. So there is no reason to connect the attack with Saudi Arabia.

At the moment USA is facing severe economic problems and it seems that USA wants to seize Saudi investments in the country to make up for that. It is not uncommon for USA to seize assets of Muslims countries.
